Catch a pike, a pike-perch or a perch on your holiday
A holiday in a rental cottage offers a chance to go fishing on the lake. The most important fish species are pike, pike-perch, perch and burbot. Fishing is possible year-round, angling in the midsummer sunshine, as well as ice fishing on a frozen lake in the wintertime. It’s easy to go fishing on the lake as a rowing boat is included in the rent and also one permit for trolling. Angling in the summer and ice fishing in the winter are both allowed without any permits. Permits can be bought, if needed, in R-kioski in Sysmä.
Alternative hiking routes can be found in national parks and around the area, for example the route of Kelvenne island and the nature trails of Pulkkilanharju, Kammiovuori and Päijätsalo.
